Evidence from real review calendars

These notes come from compliance officers, operations leads, and founders who commissioned audits for fintech work — not anonymous star ratings.

They sampled our remittance files on a Tuesday and had the findings letter on our compliance desk before Friday’s board pack — with one item we still argue about, which is exactly what we needed.

Mei-Ling Chen, Head of Compliance, regional remittance firm

The readiness audit caught that our KYC refresh calendar looked complete in the dashboard but missing case notes for nearly a fifth of high-risk files. The letter was blunt. Our bank sponsor meeting went ahead because we could show a dated remediation plan rather than a denial.

Jonathan Wu, COO, electronic payment institution

Investor diligence support was more filing discipline than theatre. Iris built a folder structure our counsel could defend. I would have liked an extra dry-run day; we ran out of time before the partner call.

Aria Hsu, founder, lending marketplace

Complaint handling assessment took two weeks and did not disrupt the desk. The memo named timeline breaches with case IDs, so supervisors could coach without guessing.

Extended story: pre-licence payment firm

A Pingtung-based team preparing an electronic payment licence application asked for a regulatory readiness audit six weeks before their first formal dialogue. Scope covered customer onboarding, float safeguarding narratives, and complaint intake.

Fieldwork mixed two on-site days with remote sampling. Findings ranked three stop-the-line issues: incomplete beneficial ownership forms on corporate wallets, a float reconciliation owned by a single analyst with no deputy, and a complaint policy that promised 48-hour acknowledgements the desk could not meet on weekends.

Management delayed the dialogue by three weeks, closed the first two issues, and documented a temporary weekend rota for acknowledgements. They later told us the delay was uncomfortable but preferable to answering questions with empty folders.
